If you've never programmed a computer before and find examples written in languages such as Python, C#, or Java confusing, the best way to start is with a short course in Smart Basic. Smart Basic was designed with newbies in mind. Unless you are a school teacher, it is unlikely that you will ever use Small Basic at work, but it is an excellent language to take you first steps, by wading out into the sea of code to test the waters.
Why spend months banging your head against the wall learning to program a more difficult language, only to become overwhelmed by too many new concepts delivered in too short a time, or to discover that programming is not for you?
In the short span of a month with two sessions per week, you can learn Smart Basic. You will not need to purchase text books or software. All you need is a computer and a web browser. You can learn to program in Smart Basic without installing any new software on your machine.
Smart Basic was designed for young students seeking an introduction to programming, but it is a perfect tool for teaching adults too.
For $90 per week, you will receive two sessions, each session lasting 90 minutes. If you are a fast learning, two weeks may be enough to learn Smart Basic. If you learn at an average speed, four weeks should be sufficient.
All of our sessions are conducted online, one to one. We use screen sharing to discuss tops and to work on code together.
Microsoft provides the public with a free web-based portal into the Small Basic language. You may even decide that you do not need us to tutor you! Visit Microsoft's portal and try the language for yourself: Small Basic Public Website
Sign up with us for online tutoring and you will learn Smart Basic more quickly. Of course, you can go it alone, if you choose, but we can help you reach your destination faster and provide answers to your questions along the way.
